Forgiveness

• Logic fails to answer the argument offered by a wounded heart.

• The wounded justify bad attitudes with logic.

• ‘They did it first’. ‘Everybody does it’. ‘They deserve it’.

• A rational answer doesn’t solve an emotional problem.

• Forgiveness is the key to healing. Forgive people before they apologize. Even though it doesn’t seem fair. You want revenge. But forgive them. Let it go.

• Be bigger than your offenders. Forgive everybody everything they’ve ever done against you everyday and healing and health are yours. Every time we do not forgive it is going to sap our productivity, time, and energy.

• Every time Jesus taught about prayer, he taught about forgiveness also.

• Our role model is Jesus Christ himself when he forgave the people who killed Him.

• ‘Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.’ Luke 23:34

• Forgiveness brings a highway between God and us and opens the door of healing.

• Jesus wants us to live a lifestyle of forgiveness. It is an ongoing process.

• Forgiveness is not a favor we do to God, but the door we open in our lives for God.

Matthew 6:14 “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Mark 11:25 “And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. 26 But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.”

Matthew 18:21 Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” 22 Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.

These 7 points when we pray everyday we actually fulfill what Jesus Christ told us -May your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We are in this earth to bring heaven on earth. In the beginning this earth was a colony of heaven. Jesus Christ died and rose again to make this earth once again like that.
