Why we should renew the mind

• To renew means to get back to the original state.

• our original state was to restore what we lost after the fall.

How Adam was before he fell?

Genesis 2:19 Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name. 20 So Adam gave names to all cattle, to the birds of the air, and to every beast of the field. But for Adam there was not found a helper comparable to him

• Adam was so brilliant that he gave names to all.

• not only he gave names to all but also he remembered them and called them by their name.

• His names were very creative and more meaningful.

• For example, the name for serpent was a very meaningful name.

• the name means beautiful, glory, attractive etc….

• When Adam fell 95% of Adam’s mind was shut down.

• With 5 percent today man is able to go to the moon, develop nuclear bombs and the super computers.

• By renewing our mind we get back what we have lost in the Garden of Eden.

• We can restore what Adam lost.

  
  

  What is the evidence that our mind is renewed?

  • God is unlimited in His personality, unlimited in His mighty works, unlimited in what he is and He can do in our lives and in this world.

  • Man is limited in his capacity and perception about himself.

  • When a man is limiting God or when he is bringing a condition upon God then he is still conforming and not in transformation.

  • Definitely God does not work according to what we think in our 5% mind.

  • We are in a spiritual fight everyday.

  • We need to fight. We need to take responsibility before we fight.

  • If you want to grow spiritually you need to fight.

  • One of the greatest signs of a mature person is to take responsibility.

  • Your mind is a territory.

  • The enemy wants to occupy your territory that he can operate in your life.

  • When the mind is renewed the enemy has no territory.
