Renewing Your Mind | Transform Your Thinking

What happens if you do not renew your mind?

• If God expects you to renew your mind there has to be consequences if you do not.

John 5: 14 Afterward Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, “ See, you have been made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you

• Jesus told this man to sin no more that a worse thing may not come upon him.

• Worse things can come if we disobey a principle.

• Not renewing our mind brings the following consequences.

• Firstly we  cannot think like God.

• No hope, No security no peace and no joy.

• God is in a different state. His abilities are higher and bigger.

• Then we think like the people around us and naturally get into a competition with them.

• When you conform to the way the world thinks you start to stagnate.

• Stagnations is going back

• Our spiritual sight and perception deteriorates.

• Every time you renew your mind your spiritual perception changes.

• it means that our sensing and seeing in the spirit dimension will enhance.

• One of the greatest obstacles of spiritual sight is an unrenewed mind.

• You see as God sees it.

• Moses did not believe the assignment God gave him.

• When you renew your mind spiritual activity starts.

• Carnal mind stops.

• You will know and experience and test and approve what the will of God is

• Without renewing you will never know see and taste the will of God for your life.

• To sustain change

• You are sustain any change unless you keep changing your mind

• Proverbs 23:7 As a man thinks in his heart so is he

  • Our thinking is important

  • Men become like how they think

  • Thinking is not a passive activity

  • Thinking has the capacity of molding you.

  • Thinking shapes your vision, attitude, behavior, success rate or failure rate.

  • Because thinking is so important there is a war in your head.

  • We have a war in our mind

  2 Corinthians 10:4,5 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.

  There are 4 things said in these verses:

  1. Thoughts and imaginations

  2. Arguments and reasoning

  3. High things and Mindset

  4. Strongholds

  Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

  • Many voices are the fighting for the territory

  • Do not confirm to the mind.

  • God talks through thoughts

  • God speaks in your mind

  • There is a higher thinking which is above our thinking

  • That is why there is a war in our mind

  • Mind is considered as a territory

  • Thoughts of a man are signs are the signals in the spiritual world

  • It signals attracting angels or demons.

  • There is a battle to have your mind?

  • Flies are attracted to decay demons are attracted to bad thoughts

  • God speaks through thoughts. God drops a thought.

  • Many do not know that it is God.

  • Only he that is continually renewing the mind actually can discern that is it God.

  • God speaks through thoughts

  • Devil wants your mind

  • God  wants your mind

  • The mind that God wants is a renewed mind

  • It is a thought but I do not know whether it is from God.

  Thoughts of God

  • When God drops a thought how to know it is God

  • Because the thought is beyond the scope of thinking of human beings

  • If it is like your imagination, it is not God.

  • God thoughts are higher than your thoughts.

  • One who do not renew his mind will always think it is a fantasy.

  • He may miss God.

  Difference between thoughts of God and thoughts from God

  • Anyone can have thoughts of God.

  • Many sages and saints thought about God and wrote many poems.

  • Carnal man can have the thoughts about God.

  • But you need to be spiritually minded to have the thoughts from God.

  • A spiritual man can think the thoughts from God and discern the thought is from God

  • The sinner can have thoughts of God but he does not know it because he is in a carnal state

  • Thoughts of God are in the word of God.

  • Written Word of God are the thoughts of God.

  • If you don’t know the Word you cannot identify that it is from God.

  • Which thought you are going to choose

  • Most think it is a good idea. But they do not know that it is God’s idea

  • Thoughts of God must be discerned.

  • It is beyond us. It is beyond the way we think.

  • You choose which thoughts you are going to think and meditate on.

  • Most of the time when God speaks people thinks that it a good idea.

  • Only when you renew your mind you can understand God.

  • Truth is you are either attracting demons or attracting God.

  • You either signal to demons or you signal to God.

  • Imaginations and reasonings is fighting for your mind

  • Holy spirit and demons are fighting for your mind

  • The battle begins in your mind.
